- The photo competition is open to all photographers.
- Members of the Manukau Photographic Society are NOT eligible to enter this competition.
- The competition opens on Saturday, 1 June and closes on Sunday, 30 June. Photos must be taken within these dates.
- “The Gardens through our Eyes” is the theme of the competition. Photographs can be of any subject: flowers, trees, people, animals, birds, sculptures, etc. but must be taken within the Auckland Botanic Gardens
- There are 2 categories:
– Open
– Under 13 years old (on 30 June 2024)
- Entrants may submit up to 3 photographs.
- Image format: JPG, sRGB, 5MB – 15MB file size
- Entries open on Saturday, 1 June and close at 12am midnight on Sunday, 30 June.
- Your entry must be your own work, must not be copied, must not contain any content that you do not have permission to use, must not include any trademarks, and must not show inappropriate or dangerous behaviour, or otherwise be defamatory, offensive, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation. If Manukau Photographic Society has reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions, it may be disqualified.
- Entrants confirm that each individual whose image is featured in the Competition entry has given consent for the use of his/her image in connection with this Competition and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Where an individual whose image is featured in a Competition entry is aged less than 13 years the entrant confirms that the parent or guardian of that individual has given the relevant consent.
- By submitting an entry to the competition, you grant the Manukau Photographic Society permission to:
a) Re-share your photo on the Manukau Photographic Society’s social media channels, reproduce and use it for promotional materials with appropriate photographer’s credit.
b) Use the person’s name who submitted the photo to announce them as the winner.
- The judge for the competition is Lee Riley, Product & Marketing Manager at Harvey Norman New Zealand and professional event photographer.

- The winners will be announced on Monday, 8 July 2024 and the winning photographs will be displayed at the Auckland Botanic Gardens and shared on Facebook and on the Manukau Photographic Society’s website.
- Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash
- Entrants into “The Gardens through our Eyes” Photo Competition shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions
